Hi, I’m Nilsa — CPA, strategist, investor, speaker, and founder of Business Solutions Group, LLC and Beyond the Numbers.

I’m on a mission to help you turn financial clarity into generational legacy — not just for yourself, but for your family, your community, and everyone you’re meant to impact.

With a foundation as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and MBA, I understand the systems — but more importantly, I understand the people behind the numbers.

That’s why I created Beyond the Numbers — to help purpose-driven leaders transform income into impact, and their businesses into vehicles for wealth, freedom, and well-being.

At 23 years old, I had a $10K loan and a bold idea. I negotiated with a homeowner to purchase her property and pay the difference in installments — because my bank loan was delayed, and I didn’t want the opportunity to slip away. The homeowner was in mortgage arrears, and I offered to cover those too. She said yes.

To help fund the payments and build financial breathing room, I rented out two rooms in the house, creating passive income while living in my first home. That single decision — to let my assets generate cash flow — planted the seed for how I’ve approached money, growth, and legacy ever since.

That deal became my first real estate win. I later sold that home, used the equity to buy a bigger one, and over the years turned that first step into an 8-figure property portfolio.

That moment taught me that wealth isn’t built in spreadsheets —
it’s built in kindness, respect, strategy, vision and confidence.

I’m proud to be married to an incredible entrepreneur and licensed Professional Engineer. Together, we’ve raised two brilliant daughters — both of whom followed in his footsteps and became electrical engineers.

As a family, we share a deep love for education, growth, and global service. We've traveled the world together, including leading projects in Africa that support underserved communities and expand opportunities through knowledge, leadership, and action.

And on a softer note — I’m a proud animal lover. Our home and hearts have always included the companionship and comfort of furry friends — and I believe the love we show animals reflects how we show up for people, too.

And during the COVID-19 pandemic, I stood beside small business owners navigating uncertainty, helping them re-strategize, stay solvent, and lead with strength.
